T.I. (who reportedly changed his name back to T.I.P) stopped by Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning show where he dished stepping away Iggy Azalea, the rumor that one of his felonious comrades urinated on a fellow hip hop artist, and his new EP, “The Nick.”
T.I. is now an independent artist and talks to Ebro about all of his future endeavors. I’m actually hype to hear that he is working with one of my favorite groups, Watch The Duck (if you haven’t heard of them, look them up!), and that Pharrell is co-producing a lot of their upcoming work.
We’re here for the tea though, right? T.I. discussed Azealia Banks. If you recall, Banks had not only taken shots at his artist at the time, Iggy, she also came for his wife — which T.I. wasn’t here for. Their beef led to T.I.P calling her a “Thot Bot” and threatening to have her pushed down a flight of stairs. It didn’t stop Azealia Banks from still coming for him every chance she got, however. He discusses Iggy Azalea and why he’s stepped back from working with her, saying that she had a lot thrown at her at once and she had a hard time. He says that after the Q-Tip debacle, he essentially got tired of cleaning up Iggy’s messes and felt it was time to step back. He says that while he was blocking bullets for Iggy and giving her advice, she wasn’t listening to him. Don’t get it twisted, there doesn’t appear to be any bad blood. He also congratulates her on her engagement, despite having not spoken to her in a while.
When asked about the Drake vs Meek Mill situation and whether Drake got peed on by one of T.I.’s friends, Clifford Harris side stepped the question perfectly, directing attention straight to his Atlanta Falcons.
In the interview T.I. also talks about an “ATL” sequel, whether there’s a T.I. biopic in the works and “Family Hustle”. Watch the full length interview below.
