T-Mobile is rolling out more expensive plans next week, and customers will be switched to these new options unless they opt out by contacting the company.
Leaked documents revealed that the changes will affect plans like Magenta, One, Magenta 55+, Simple Choice/Select Choice, and Simple Choice Business.
According to reports, customer service agents will tell customers, “We are not raising the price of any of our plans; we are moving you to a newer plan with more benefits at a different cost.”
T-Mobile stated that customers can anticipate a $10 per line increase with the plan migration. However, the timeframe for customers to opt out of the new plans remains unclear.
“We’re always looking for ways to give our customers more from our services, so we’re moving a small number who were on older rate plans to newer plans that will deliver them enhanced features,” the company said.
T-Mobile’s plan adjustments follow its merger with Sprint three years ago, which required rate increases.
With Price Lock, the company promises to maintain rates but only plans from the last two years.
