T-Pain made it clear that he won’t tolerate disrespect from fans during his concerts. While performing in Iowa this week, the artist had to pause his set to address audience members who were throwing objects on stage. He firmly let the crowd know that this kind of behavior was unacceptable.
“As someone who’s turning 40 this year, I don’t have to stay up here while people disrespect me,” T-Pain said, expressing his frustration. “I don’t want to sound rude, but you wouldn’t stay up here if you were being disrespected like that. That’s just weird.” The majority of the audience was supportive, chanting his name in solidarity.
T-Pain continued, “I want to keep going and have fun. I appreciate most of y’all, but there are just a few bad apples… I’m not a clown. I’m not here to get things thrown at me. I don’t want to leave halfway through the show, but I can’t stand up here being disrespected.” Fortunately, after his speech, the object-throwing stopped, and T-Pain was able to continue his performance without further incidents. He went on to deliver hits like “All I Do Is Win” and “I’m So Hood,” leaving the crowd satisfied.
