T-Pain is denying allegations that he failed to tip an Uber driver.
A post on Reddit recently went viral, sparking debates about the rich being cheap. In the original post, the publisher claimed their mother Ubered T-Pain and his “lady friends” around for two nights straight. Allegedly, the “I’m Sprung” star drank from the driver’s “free mini-bar” and didn’t bother tipping.
The 37-year-old addressed the claims in a series of TikTok videos, where he shared screenshots of the actual post. T-pain quickly cleared up the “lady friends” part, stating that those women were his wife and assistant.
“Don’t try to paint this like it’s just T-Pain and some b****es riding around,” he said in one of the clips.
He also shared that he took multiple Ubers, one of which was a man who drove them to a restaurant. The man waited until they were done eating and volunteered to turn off his Uber app and drive T-Pain around all day. The singer obliged and paid him $200 via CashApp, but the driver never cut off the app, which resulted in T-Pain being charged another $60. In another Uber, he got the driver known as “Mildred,” who was the supposed subject of the Reddit post.
He slammed the “mini-bar” claims, explaining that his assistant had liquor in her bag for the singer and their entourage. T-Pain also offered screenshots showing that he indeed tipped Mildred.
Neither the Uber drivers nor the Reddit author has responded to his explanation videos, so it appears that T-Pain has had the final word in the saga.
