T-Pain Clarifies It’s All Love Between Him And Usher After ‘This Is Pop’ Interview

Singer and rapper T-Pain caused a stir when a clip of his This Is Pop interview aired, showing an upsetting interaction he had with Usher. But he wants to make it known that he has no ill will toward the singer.

“I’m gonna tell you something, man. You kinda f*cked up music,” Usher said to T-Pain. “And then he was like, ‘Yeah man, you really f*cked up music for real singers,'” the singer remembers. “I was like, ‘What did I do? I came out, and I used Auto-Tune.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you f*cked it up.’ I’m like, ‘But I used it, I didn’t tell everybody else to start using it.'”

The singer marked the exchange as the beginning of a four-year bout of depression.

But on Tuesday, T-Pain took to Twitter to make sure the world knows that it’s still all love between the two.

“I still love and respect @Usher telling that story was in no way meant to disrespect that man,” he wrote. “Ppl talk shit about me 24/7 but when it comes from someone you truly respect it hits very different. I never said f*ck Ursh it was a drop in the ocean of shit I was already goin through.”
