T.I. has officially signed with Epic Records!
Epic Records announced this Friday that Atlanta rapper T.I. will be joining their team. In addition to the news the O.G. trap artist released two new songs titled “Jefe” and “Wrath.” The two songs are a part of his upcoming album “Dime Trap,” which is set to drop “later in 2018.” “Dime Trap” is his 10th studio album and his first in the last four years.
Since his breakthrough album “Trap Muzik,” Tip has contributed some of the first original sounds of Atlanta to the music industry. In his 15-year-long career T.I has won three Grammy Awards, three BET awards and worked with fellow musical greats like Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Pharrell, JayZ and more. He also earned a Tony nomination for his work on “SpongeBob Square Pants: The Musical.”
Along with influencing music, he also influences politics, activism and social issues. Most recently he shared his opinion on Kanye West’s decisions to support and promote Donald Trump while in the studio recording West’s “Life of Pablo.” “Your intentions, from what you tell me, are pure but the direction that you took to get there are a bit unorthodox and kind of, some people would say, thoughtless,” T.I. said in response to West choosing to wear his “Make America Great Again” hat.
His talents also extend to television. His long-running VH1 “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle” has had six seasons and went on to allow him the opportunity to co-create, produce and star in his new BET reality completion series “The Grand Hustle,” where he oversees 16 business-minded participants competing for a six-figure salary who fight for the chance to join his business empire.
With all that he’s accomplished, there’s much to look forward to with his new Epic Records partnership.
