Tabitha Brown Sends Message of Staying True to Herself After Food Network Swaps Her Show From Primetime Lineup [Video]

Tabitha Brown is staying true to herself after her vegan competition series was abruptly given a less favorable time slot.

After debuting on August 11th, the Food Network decided to boot “It’s CompliPlated” from its primetime spot on Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. The cooking competition show will now air on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. While the Food Network did not comment on why they moved the show’s time, Brown took to her Instagram to address individuals who seemingly have issues with how she articulates, her look, and overall southern charm.

The author and actress did not call out anyone by name or mention the network directly. Instead, Brown shared that there was not a network, “person, place or thing” that would alter who she is.

“If you don’t like my personality, if you don’t like everything that makes Tab Tab, don’t work with me,” the social media influencer said.

Seemingly taking a direct shot at her show’s home channel, Brown added, “I’m not going to shift a little bit for your audience. I’m not going to talk a little bit different for your comfort.”

The 43-year-old also claimed in the video that she experienced hostility when she expressed feeling like someone was trying to “change” her.

Initially part of the Food Network’s primetime lineup, “It’s CompliPlated” showcases four chefs competing in three rounds of cooking challenges that will please a panel of judges with very different palates. The chefs must only use plant-based ingredients, making it the first cooking contest of its kind.

While 1:00 p.m is an odd time for a cooking show considering that most people are working during the time slot, viewers may still catch the episodes on Discovery+.
