Taco Bell is testing a new menu creation called Mexican Pizza Empanadas at select Phoenix locations, giving local fans the first taste of the innovative snack.
The empanadas are a portable take on the popular Mexican Pizza, offering a convenient handheld option for Taco Bell enthusiasts.
These empanadas are stuffed with seasoned beef and a three-cheese blend, and each order comes with Mexican Pizza sauce on the side for dipping. They are available in 3- or 6-packs, priced at $3.50 and $6, respectively, making them easy to enjoy alone or with friends.
The Mexican Pizza Empanadas reimagine the classic Mexican Pizza, which typically features beef, refried beans, cheese, diced tomatoes, and Mexican Pizza sauce layered between two crispy tostadas.
In the empanadas, the tostadas are replaced with deep-fried dough, creating a crispy, handheld version of the beloved menu item.
The new trial item was first announced at the Live Más Live 2025 event, building anticipation among fans eager for unique twists on Taco Bell classics.
While only available in southwestern locations for now, the chain continues to expand its nationwide menu with other new items.
