Tammy Rivera came for internet personality Zoie Fenty after he called out Waka Flocka for his reaction to his stepdaughter coming out as a member of the LGBTQ community.
On a recent episode of Waka &Tammy: What The Flocka, Rivera’s daughter Charlie Rivera asked her mom and stepdad if it was ok to bring a girl to her quinceanera as her date. Waka was supportive of Charlie’s decision, which he reaffirmed in his latest interview on Fox Soul’s In The Mix.
Fenty took issue with Waka’s supportive reaction to Charlie’s coming out when he was vocal about disagreeing with Dwayne Wade’s parenting of daughter, Zaya, recently.
“Everybody should be treated fairly, no matter who you like. I don’t care if you same-sex girl, same-sex guy, straight. Whatever,” Fenty said in his Instagram story. “We should all be treated fairly, with no judgment.”
Rivera took to her Instagram story to call Fenty out for speaking about her family.
“A person is not allowed to have an opinion about how they feel? Without being a basher or being labeled as going against something or hating someone?” Rivera asked. “They can’t have an opinion when they’re asked?”
Rivera says in her post that instead of looking at it in a negative light, Fenty should acknowledge Waka’s growth. That he should instead focus on Waka being such an amazing father.
“We don’t get enough conversation about how many black men are out here being great fathers,” she continued. “ We don’t get enough conversation about that.”
