“Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna, and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time. While no words can provide true comfort at a time such as this, we offer our support and love as they begin to process this very profound loss of their beloved Arrayah.”
Shaq’s daughter, Arrayah, was transported to a hospital Sunday morning after EMS responded to the location for a child who had fallen into the water. Despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced dead a short time later, TMZ reported.
Authorities don’t believe foul play was involved but are investigating the incident.
Arrayah had just celebrated her second birthday on April 19. “Happy 2nd bday to my cutie girl. So sweet and cute. You made our family complete. I love you, baby girl,” Shaq wrote.
He and his wife, Jordanna, are raising three other children, ages 11, 9, and 8.
