Taraji P. Henson is officially back on the market after the actress confirms she is splitting up with her former NFL player fiancé, Kelvin Hayden.
On Monday Taraji announced the news during her interview with “The Breakfast Club.” She said that her and her fiancé hit a rocky path and therapy was suggested, to work on their relationship.
Ultimately she said that the two weren’t on the same page when it came to the couple going to therapy.
She said, “I’m dedicated to the black man, y’all. I just turned 50 and I mean, I hadn’t said it yet, but it didn’t work out. I tried. I was like, therapy. Let’s do the therapy thing, but if you’re both not on the same page with that then you feel like you’re taking it on yourself and that’s not a fair position for anybody to play in a relationship.”Henson and Hayden got engaged back in May 2018. They were set to get married in June but cancelled those plans due to the pandemic.Rumors started to surface last month that the pair were on the outs after Hayden was not in attendance for Taraji’s 50th birthday event in Mexico.Instagram
