Award-winning actress Taraji P. Henson is hosting the 2020 American Music Awards.
“The AMAs brings together the music community to celebrate what really drives all artist – the fans. I’m proud to take the stage as this year’s host – and also a fan- for what promises to be an electrifying night of music,” said Henson.
The Weekend and rapper Roddy Rich are in for an eventful night – both have eight nominations.
Taylor Swift holds the record for the most AMA wins. Swift has 29 AMA’s.
The AMA’s have added new categories – favorite male and female artist in Rap/Hip-Hop, favorite male artist, favorite female artist, favorite album, and favorite song in Latin music.

The award show will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC.
