There’s still some bad blood between Taylor Swift and Kanye West.
The rumor mill is churning with reports that Swift had West kicked out of Super Bowl LVIII. This is all according to former NFL player and “I Am Athlete” creator Brandon Marshall. During an appearance on the “Paper Route” podcast, Marshall shared that West purchased a ticket for a seat positioned right in front of Swift’s suite, where Ice Spice and Blake Lively joined her. The location of West’s seat allegedly bothered Swift to the point of her taking immediate action.
“He’s got a mask on with his logo on the mask — typical Kanye. Taylor Swift gets pissed off, she boom boom makes a call or two. Everybody’s involved. He gets kicked out the stadium,” Marshall stated before adding, “He was trying to leverage her celebrity … That’s what he tried to do; he tried to sit in front of Taylor Swift.”
Now, the issue with Marshall’s story is that West was spotted in Allegiant Stadium on numerous occasions during the big game. He was even seen with pals Ty Dolla $ign and Anderson. Paak. Therefore, it is unclear when exactly West would have been escorted from the stadium.Â
Swift and West’s feud goes back 15 years, when West interrupted the singer during her September 2009 MTV Video Music Awards speech. As Swift accepted the trophy for Best Female Video for “You Belong with Me,” West stormed the stage to declare that Beyoncé should have won the award for the “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” video. West eventually apologized, only to take it back in 2013. They seemed to reconcile in 2015 when they were spotted taking photos at the Grammys. However, things soured again after West name-dropped her in the “Famous” track.Â
West nor Swift has confirmed nor denied the reports. However, with such a checkered past, Swift likely didn’t want him near her during such a fun moment.Â
