Taylor Swift has donated $5 million to Feeding America to assist with relief efforts in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The nonprofit shared the news on Wednesday, thanking Swift with a graphic inspired by the friendship bracelets her fans love to trade at her concerts.
Feeding America’s CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, expressed gratitude for Swift’s generosity, stating, “This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms. Together, we can make a real impact in supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead.” The organization also encouraged fans to “join Taylor” by donating to the relief efforts.
Swift’s friends, actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, also contributed $1 million to Feeding America to support those impacted by the hurricanes. Babineaux-Fontenot praised the couple’s “longtime support” in times of crisis, noting that they’ve helped with relief efforts for several past natural disasters.
Swift’s charitable efforts extend beyond this latest donation. She has a history of supporting communities in need, including contributing to relief efforts after a tornado in Tennessee in 2020 and a donation following a shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade in February 2024. During her record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift quietly donated meals to food banks in every city she performed.
Hurricane Milton, a Category 3 storm, recently made landfall in Florida, causing further devastation in areas still recovering from Hurricane Helene.
