Forbes has unveiled its prestigious billionaire list, which highlights one of Taylor Swift’s most incredible achievements.
While the “Shake It Off” star was officially crowned a billionaire in October 2023 by the outlet, it has now been reported that she accomplished this status primarily from music. This means that Swift has made far more money from her successful albums and tours than she has from any other commercial endeavor, making her stand out from her musical counterparts on the Forbes list.
Rihanna holds the number nine spot, and while music has helped line her pockets, it has been her Savage X Fenty and Fenty Beauty lines that have driven her net worth up to a reported $1.4 million. Jay-ZÂ holds the number five position, with a reported $2.5 billion net worth. He is widely regarded as hip-hop’s first billionaire. Aside from founding Roc-A-Fella and then Roc Nation, he sold half of his champagne brand, Armand de Brignac, to luxury conglomerate LVMH for $300 million in 2021. He also unloaded the majority stake of his D’Usse brand in 2023.
Other notable names on this year’s list include media moguls Tyler Perry, who has a net worth of $1.4 billion in the number eight spot, and Oprah Winfrey, who currently has roughly a net worth of $2.8 billion. Athletes LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Tiger Woods are also confirmed to be the world’s richest, with $1.2, $3.2, and $1.3 billion, respectively.
