TDE Rapper Jay Rock Involved In Motorcycle Accident

While Kendrick Lamar was racking up Grammy wins, his dear friend and Black Hippy co-star was involved in a tragic accident. 

Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, CEO of the label that houses Lamar, SZA, Schoolboy Q, Ab Soul and others, took to Twitter Monday night to announce that Jay Rock had been involved in a motorcycle accident, “Pray 4 @jayrock he had a bad accident on his motorcycle.. He’s hurt pretty bad,” tweeted Tiffith. 

While the circumstances surrounding the details have not been released, Tiffith took to Twitter one more time to bring hush to rumors that Jay Rock was in a coma. “Jayrock is not in a coma or near death…a lot of broken bones.”

Jay Rock, real name Johnny Reed McKinzie, Jr., signed to TDE in 2005. The 30 year old rapper became a household name for many commercial fans after appearing on “Money Trees” from Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city.
