Teddy Pendergrass’ widow is fed up with the drama over the singer’s will. According to the @blast, Joan Pendergrass says her late husband’s kids have been dragging her back and forth to court to try to cut her out of the will and she is sick of it. In fact, she has filed lawsuits against the children for the emotional distress they have caused amid the legal battle.
In legal documents obtained by the publication, Joan accused Teddy’s son, Theodore Pendergrass II, and his daughters, La Donna Hollerway and Tishia Burnett of stressing her out over the singer’s will.
The drama began back in 2010 after Teddy’s death, when the family found out that he left his entire estate to his wife. However, in retaliation, Theodore tried to win the estate back by drafting a fake will that claimed the fortune belonged to him. Shortly after though, a court ruled that the will was fake.

Now, Joan is taking all of the children to court for the drama over the estate. She says the legal battle between both parties has cost her $850,000 in legal fees over the last six years. During that time, she says she has been humiliated, her reputation has been tarnished and she’s been overwhelmed with anxiety and now, she wants payback.

“The illusion and fantasy created by Theodore, Jr. and propagated by his lawyers forced Mrs. Pendergrass to undergo years of turmoil and anguish as her relationship with her late husband was unmercifully scrutinized,” the lawsuit says, adding that the widow is suing the children and each lawyer for general and punitive damages.
