Teen Accidentally Shoots and Kills His Mother Then Turns the Gun on Himself

A teen in Oklahoma accidentally shot and killed his mother and then ended his own life by turning the gun on himself last weekend.

According to The New York Post, the 16-year-old male who was not identified was handling the firearm in the living room of the family home when it was discharged, and a bullet went through the wall, hitting and killing his mother.

Witnesses told the police that the distraught teen then ran outside and fatally shot himself in the street.

“To be handling this firearm and then it goes off, I’m sure that was terrifying in and of itself,” said Del City Police Department Major Bradley Rule said in a report.

“But then to go around the corner and see the result of it, shooting your own mother, I can’t imagine what he felt,” the Major added.
