Two teens from Nevada have been arrested in Utah days after they allegedly killed a man whose burned remains were found inside a garage.
According to People.com, one of the teen suspects charged in the brutal murder of 45-year-old Daniel Halseth is his 16-year-old daughter.
The cops were contacted by Halseth’s mother, who told police she hadn’t heard from her son for days. Nevada police say Halseth was found stabbed to death last Friday after Las Vegas firefighters extinguished an intentionally set fire at his home.
Investigators found Halseth’s bloody body in the garage. Inside the home, they found evidence of an extensive clean-up attempt and a large burn area in the living room that included accelerants, leading them to believe the fire was intended to cover up the homicide.
While investigators would not reveal the motive, they did confirm that Aaron Guerrero, 18, and Halseth’s 16-year-old daughter, Sierra, carried out the killing.
