Dyshea Hall, who was featured on Lifetime’s reality dance series “Bring It!” was gunned down outside of a Kroger store in Georgia.
On Sunday, 16-year-old Hall visited a Kroger shopping center on Flat Shoals Parkway in DeKalb County. At some point, two groups of people got into an altercation in the parking lot, though it is unclear what it was about. One group fired into the car of another group. Hall and 17-year-old Javonte Wood were shot. Wood remains in critical condition.
Hall was a dancer with “Ms. D’s Dancing Dolls.” The team showcased their talents on television as well as at competitions. Dance coach Dianna Williams paid tribute to the teenager with a Facebook post-Sunday night and praised her for being a fearless young leader.
“She was fearless and would always try to elevate herself and everyone else in the dollhouse.… She was always encouraging her sisters and motivating everyone!” Williams wrote.
As investigators work to identify the suspects, they have confirmed that the individuals involved in the Kroger shooting were also involved in a shooting at Grady Memorial Hospital the same night. One person was killed while the other sustained injuries in that shooting. Police are still working to determine what led to that incident.
