Jenelle Evans has been fired from MTV’s show “Teen Mom” after her husband admitted to killing their family dog.
TMZ spoke with an MTV spokesperson who said, “We have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.” The rep also re-confirmed the company’s previous firing of Eason, saying, “MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of ‘Teen Mom 2’ with him since.” Eason who is Evans’ husband, admitted to killing Evans’ French bulldog. Eason was previously fired from the show after making homophobic comments; MTV reportedly made an effort to avoid dealing with Eason.
According to TMZ, Eason killed their dog, Nugget, as punishment for biting at their 2-year-old daughter. However, the video of the incident showed the bite wasn’t extreme. The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Control are working together on the investigation into the allegations of animal cruelty. Eason allegedly slammed the dog against their home’s backyard deck and then took him into woods and shot him to death. Eason has a troubled history of domestic abuse and careless gun use.
Reports show Evans and Eason are still together and are considering marriage counseling. “They’re looking into a marriage counselor locally — in the Wilmington [North Carolina] area,” her manager said Wednesday, adding that the mother of three is “focusing on her family and moving forward.” Evans’ manager also shut down reports that Evans will appear on the next season of “Marriage Boot Camp,” saying, “That’s false information! Not confirmed on our end.” While Evans has yet to confirm her appearance on the new show, she does want to remain in the spotlight – without Eason. “She really doesn’t want David involved in her business at all,” her manager said. “She learned a lot.”
