Jenelle Evans is said to be heartbroken after her husband, David Eason, killed the family’s French bulldog, Nugget.
Eason claims he killed the dog after it bit the couple’s two-year-old daughter, Ensley. He defended his actions by saying he was “protecting his family.”
David explained his decision to put the dog down, saying … “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face… whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog, and I don’t put up with that s**t at all.”
The dog allegedly bit the toddler on her right cheek but did not break the skin. He shared a picture of the little girl who was shaken but unharmed.
Meanwhile, Jenelle has taken to social media to post pics of her beloved dog, referencing the heartbreak of losing her family pet.
“Nugget…I’m crying every day. I love you so much, and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless,” she wrote in a post on Instagram.
According to TMZ, David initially told police officers that the dog was alive but would not let them see the dog. Cops in the Columbus County Sheriff’s Dept. have since contacted Animal Control, but in order for the police to take further action, Jenelle would need to come forward and make a report on her own.
PETA has expressed their concern not only for the welfare of the dog but for other members of the household; a spokesperson said the organization is hopeful that charges are filed against Eason if it’s true he shot Nugget saying “People who abuse animals typically don’t stop there.”

Really hard to know this situation. I was very surprised to hear that. If he didn’t want to kill the dog, he could explain to his wife his problems.
