Last month, rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to his racketeering case.
According to TMZ, the rapper wants to spend the remainder of his sentence in either a community correctional facility or under home confinement.
Lance Lazzaro, Tekashi’s lawyer, has filed documents discovered by TMZ, requesting the rapper finish his sentence outside of the prison, due to the fact that his safety is at risk there.
Tekashi is fearful of completing his sentence behind bars due to the fact that during his trial, he told on members of the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods in an effort to reduce his sentencing.
Tekashi alleges that the private jail he’s placed in is full of Blood gang members, TMZ reports.
Prior to being sentenced to two years in prison, Tekashi was facing 47 years behind bars. So far, Tekashi has served 14 months in prison and could be home late Summer if all goes well.
