Contrary to popular belief, Tekashi69 is not a gangster or a gang member, in fact, according to his lawyer, the rapper’s “gangster image” was all part of an act.
According to The Blast, 6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro said his client is just “an entertainer who portrays a ‘gangster image’ to promote his music does not make him a member of an enterprise.”
As Lazzaro continued, he said his client, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was instead a victim of the Nine Trey Bloods gang. “Mr. Hernandez became victim of this enterprise and later took steps by firing employees and publicly denounced this enterprise through a morning show.”
In the meantime, as 6ix9ine awaits his bail hearing which was recently postponed, according to Akadmiks, the rapper will remain in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
