After news surfaced of the action-scene-like incident that left Tekashi69 hospitalized, TMZ reports that the rapper provided officials with a completely different story from what he initially told “his people,” who then told TMZ.
According to the publication, the Brooklyn-bred rapper said the incident occurred around 4:25 am on Sunday at an intersection in Brooklyn. He said he was sitting at a red light in the passenger seat of a Chevy Tahoe, when a car bumped them from behind.
That’s when two armed men hopped out the car, stole the driver’s iPhone and dragged the rainbow-haired rapper to their car, and sped off.

#6ix9ine said the men then drove him to his home and forced him to call someone inside, presumably his baby mama, to bring out the jewelry. Before the incident escalated further, 6ix9ine said he managed to escape and call the police.

However, law enforcement sources tell TMZ that 6ix9ine quickly became uncooperative. He then checked himself into a hospital, however, sources say it remains unclear how the rapper was injured.
