“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star, Terry Crews, revealed in a series of tweets that he too was sexually assaulted by a “high level Hollywood executive” at an industry event last year.⠀⠀

While Crews does not name the exec, he recalls the perpetrator grabbing his private parts, in front of his wife, and then he “just grinned like a jerk.”

Crews felt compelled to share his own experience after recent reports from the New York Times surrounding sexual harassment and rape allegations against former boss of The Weinstein Company, Harvey Weinstein.

After being groped, Crews recalls having to just leave the event instead of fighting back to avoid any damaging consequences.

He tweeted, “I let it go. And I understand why many women who this happens to let it go. Who’s going 2 believe you? ( few) What r the repercussions?(many) Do u want 2 work again? (Yes) R you prepared 2b ostracized?(No).”

The former NFL player says he supports the women who were allegedly affected by Weinstein’s actions. Some of those women include some of Hollywood’s biggest names like Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
