Pro Skateboarder Terry Kennedy was charged with first-degree murder after the man he attacked succumbed to his injuries. He is currently being held without bond until he finds legal representation.
According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, the hearing will resume Monday.
Kennedy allegedly hit Josiah Kassahun, 23, of Wheaton, in the head and kicked him in the torso on July 27 at Oakbrook Terrace hotel.
What happened before the incident was unknown.
Kassahun died over the weekend as a result of his injuries. He died of blunt force injuries to the head, the autopsy found.
