Tesla Owner Bombs Car With Elon Musk Doll Inside After Being Faced With $22,000 Repair Bill

One Tesla owner was so fed up with his malfunctioning car that he decided to blow it up in a now-viral video.

Tuomas Katainen of Finland purchased his 2013 Tesla Model S last year. Once the vehicle hit around 900 miles, he noticed error codes and water leaking. He took his car to a mechanic to address the issues but was met with a shocking repair cost of $22,000 to replace the entire battery cell in the vehicle.

Katainen decided that the costly repair was not worth it and decided that bombing the car would blow off some steam and prevent him from dropping stacks on his high-tech whip. He reached out to popular YouTubers Lauri Vuohensilta from the Hydraulic Press channel and the Pommijatkat channel, who assisted him in orchestrating the blast.

“I told them I’m coming to pick up the Tesla. Now I’m going to explode the whole car away,” he said before the fiery event.

After assembling his team, the battery and motors were removed. The disabled automobile was then towed to the explosion site in Jaala. As a big “F-You” to Tesla founder Elon Musk, a dummy made to look like him was placed inside the car, which was strapped with 66 pounds of dynamite.

The video has attracted 5.1 million views on YouTube since being filmed and posted on December 17th. Musk has not publicly commented on the video.
