Tesla owner Elon Musk has found himself, and possibly his business, in hot water once again.
Last week, viewers watched as news outlets chronicled the rescue mission for a team of youth soccer players and their coach from a cave. While most people sang the praises of the divers who risked their lives to save the lives of others, Musk took a different approach.
In a series of tweets regarding the incident, Musk indirectly accused one British rescuer of being unhelpful during the mission and referred to him as a “pedo” (pedophile).

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Musk’s tweets came after his idea for a submarine was rejected earlier in the week prior to the final rescue.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Musk traveled to the Tham Luang caverns in Chiang Rai to introduce a six foot submarine as a means to rescue the boys and their coach.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The diver, Vern Unsworth, stated that Musk’s invention “had absolutely no chance of working” because the inventor “had no conception of what the cave passage was like”.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unsworth ultimately referred to Musk’s invention as a “publicity stunt.” The chief of the Thai navy seal team also confirmed that Musk’s invention was not useful for that particular mission, although authorities did confirm that the sub could be useful in future missions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For Musk, his comments may come at a costly price. According to reports, when Unsworth was asked if he’d take legal action against Musk, his answer was simple.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Yes, it’s not finished.”
