A Texas Airbnb host faces 15 counts of invasive visual recording after police found over 2,100 images of naked guests and guests engaged in sexual intimacy.Â
Jay Allee‘s Texas cabin was described as a quiet, discreet vacation home for guests to enjoy. But after a guest found a camera in a bedroom disguised as a power adapter, police unraveled a lot of footage. Investigators uncovered images on laptops, phones, and a tablet linked to a hidden device.Â
KSAT reported Allee’s, 54, arrest in December after guests became suspicious when he made comments like “be comfortable. We don’t care if you are in your pj’s or nude.”Â
According to the San Antonio Express-News, Allee recorded guests for at least a year. Nico LaHood, part of Allee’s defense team, says that Alee will maintain his innocence and is “looking forward to his day in court.”
Airbnb also released a statement on the disturbing allegations. “On our platform, we strictly ban hidden cameras. The reported criminal behavior of this bed-and-breakfast owner is outrageous, and he and his property are banned from Airbnb. Our law enforcement operations team has been working to support the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation.”Â
