Far-right Boogaloo Boys member Ivan Hunter admitted to traveling from Texas to Minneapolis amid the George Floyd protests and shooting up a Minneapolis cop station.
On Thursday, Hunter, 24, pleaded guilty to a single count of rioting and admitted to firing 13 rounds from his AK-47-style rifle into the 3rd Precinct police station while rioters set the building alight last year.
He was also filmed yelling, “Justice for Floyd!” Luckily, he wore a distinctive skull mask that helped investigators match him to a video on his Facebook account, the Daily Beast reported.
The Boogaloo movement that he is a part of is an extremist, anti-government, often racist movement that aims at starting a second American civil war.
Court documents accuse Hunter of traveling to Minneapolis with two other Boogaloo members and also communicated with Steven Carrillo, a Boogaloo accused of fatally ambushing deputies in California.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Winter said Hunter could serve between 37 and 46 months in federal prison.
U.S. District Judge Michael Davis said he would schedule a sentencing hearing following an investigation.
