A Texas man faces a murder charge for beating his sister to death with a baseball bat after learning she had sex with another man, despite their sexual relationship.
Jose Manuel Guzman, 32, allegedly killed his sister in their Canutillo home with a bat and “massage instrument.” The El Paso resident is from Guatemala and resided in Texas for three years. He recently found out he had a sister from Guatemala, and they met and began a sexual relationship.
After learning his sister slept with a male friend, the 32-year-old man snapped. He killed her and attempted to clean up the scene by mopping up the blood but fled once he heard law enforcement approaching the home.
According to the New York Post, he was arrested with a murder charge and is in jail on a $1 million bond.
After the arrest, prosecutors claim Guzman was a previous drug dealer with recent criminal charges from 2017. He allegedly broke a man’s arm with a baseball bat and smashed his windows. He has previous family violence and drug possession cases also.
