The world is getting crazier and crazier. According to FOX 4 News, 35-year-old mother, Tasha Hatcher, has been charged with injury to a child after putting her two-year-old daughter into an oven.
On the late night of March 17th, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Somervell County Sheriff Department was called to the scene after receiving a disturbing phone call. Once deputies arrived, witnesses reported that a female, later to be identified as Hatcher, told them that she had put her daughter into the oven. Deputies then took Hatcher into custody, and the child was taken to Parkland Hospital.
The young child suffered both second and third-degree burns, which she is being treated for. She is now in the custody of Child Protective Services and isn’t allowed to have any contact with family members during the investigation.
Many around the community in Glen Rose have said they are in complete shock. Hatcher always seemed to be a very ‘loving and attentive’ mother towards her daughter.
“I really would have never ever, never expected this out of her, never. I wasn’t even sure when I heard it that it was true. It’s unimaginable.” a family friend told FOX 4 News.
Tasha Hatcher’s bond has been set for $300,000.
The case is currently still under investigation.
