Teyana Taylor Talks Brandon Jennings & Beef With Tae Heckard On The Breakfast Club (Video)

In case you missed it, Teyana Taylor sat down with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club this morning to talk about the subject we all want to know about — her love triangle with Brandon Jennings & Tae Heckard. As you remember, Teyana and Brandon dated in the past and broke up in 2011. Tae & Brandon have recently started dating but Teyana claims Tae was her friend and felt betrayed. 

In the interview Teyana puts no responsibility on Brandon, saying she knows him and how he is. She says that the two dated off & on and were engaged and that weeks before the story broke, Tae hit her up about coming through the studio to see her.  

she tells the Breakfast Club, “Brandon doesn’t shock me anymore…so my issues isn’t with Brandon. My issue is with Tae because that was my friend….You’re 36 years old. You’re a grown woman. I’m 23. As a woman, the moment you found out.”

She also says that she gave Brandon her virginity two years ago (even though she implied in the past that they broke up over her not giving him the goods). She says that she could never be friends again and that the reason she is so hurt is because Brandon was her first love. 

“This is my first love. My first everything. I’m close to his family. You love who you love… That’s all that disappointed me was the betrayal…It’s at a stage I’m not about to hit you up…I’m truly happy for Brandon. And If you’re truly happy with Tae, she’s a beautiful girl”

For the record, Tae is not 36, she’s 32 and I’m sure a friend would know that. Also, I’m going to stick to what I’ve said before, though Teyana has every right to be hurt, she strikes me as the type that quickly calls everyone her friend and can’t determine the difference between a friend and an acquaintance. Two photos together and sending someone free sneakers, does not a “friend” make. Sounds a lot like Nelly & Floyd Mayweather’s friendship to me. She also says that she’s happy for Brandon, but has a track record of taking shots at every girl he’s seen out with. I understand being hurt. Who wouldn’t be hurt seeing their first love out and about, but talking crazy to his family about his new girl and telling all your business on the radio is not the way. I would have preferred Teyana talked about her upcoming endeavors and new single, than spend an entire interview talking about another woman’s relationship. In the end, I doubt Tae is going to leave Brandon over it, so there really isn’t a point.

Teyana is a beautiful girl with a great voice but she needs to focus on her career. Drama & Publicity Stunts are not always a good thing.
