We all have had our fair share of crazy flavored donuts, but many of us have no clue about the most expensive donuts ever.
The Golden Cristal Ube is filled with champagne and topped with 24-karat gold. A dozen of them go for a whopping $1,200.
Featured in an episode of CNBC’s “Secret Lives of the Super Rich”, Bjorn DelaCruz, chef of the Manila Social Club in Miami, talks about the other luxury characteristics of this unique delectable.

According to the website, the donut is made with ube, a “naturally purple sweet yam found in the Philippines.”

The Cristal champagne (which costs about $200 per bottle) that’s used for the dough and icing, along with the sparkling coat of 24-karat gold and an extravagant gold leaf, takes two hours to complete.

If you ever wanted to have these sweet treats delivered, believe that they’ll be arriving in style. Instead of old fashioned delivery trucks, the doughnuts are delivered via Rolls-Royce.

“A lot of people, when they eat this doughnut, say ‘Oh, that’s rich,'” Delacruz said to “Secret Lives of the Super Rich.” “Usually I tell them, ‘No, it’s wealthy.'”
