eBay has long been a treasure trove of rare finds, and one piece of Destiny’s Child memorabilia is looking to rake in bug bucks.
A framed 2001 portrait of the iconic girl group has surfaced on the platform. The iconic photograph, now listed for $13,000, features Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams at the height of their fame as a trio. It was taken during the “Survivor” era, which earned them a Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group. The powerful women wore plated belts that read “Survivor,” celebrating their 2001 album and titular hit single. Additionally, the album delivered other hits, such as “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women 1 & 2,” and “Emotion.”
The portrait sits in a gold and black glass frame, which the seller claims is an initial frame. However, they admitted they weren’t sure whether the photo was an original or a reprint.
“Please put research into this before purchasing if you’re truly interested in buying this item from us,” part of the description reads.
It’s also important to note that the image is not autographed, which is a component that many collectors of music memorabilia look for. Nevertheless, diehard DC fans would certainly find the value in this piece, which sits at $13K, though the seller does write they are willing to negotiate.
