Houston-based jeweler Johnny Dang, known as the “King of Bling,” has made an undeniable impact on hip-hop culture through his mastery of custom pieces for artists such as Migos, Young Dolph, Travis Scott, and more. His empire has created notable pendants, bracelets, and earrings. However, in the years since Nelly’s 2005 track, “Grillz,” hit airways, Dang became synonymous with breathtaking diamond-encrusted mouthpieces. Dang has even credited the song and business partner Paul Wall, who was featured on it, with thrusting his company into the national spotlight. At one point, he was creating over 400 grillz a day.
