Nickelodeon is a child’s dream come true, and an adult’s guilty pleasure. In addition to its popular shows, Nickelodeon also creates action-packed attractions for its audiences. On October 25th, Nickelodeon Universe, the largest indoor theme park in North America, will open its doors at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey.
The 8.5-acre park will feature a variety of rides, roller coasters, popular Nickelodeon characters, and a slime stage. Early reports and photos of the construction give hints to additional attractions, including a Blue’s Clues carousel, a SpongeBob SquarePants ride, the Nickelodeon Skyline Scream, which is the world’s tallest indoor spinning drop tower, and the Shellraiser roller coaster, which features a 122ft drop. The theme park will also include shops, food, and live entertainment.
General admission to the park is $40, and all-access passes cost $50, making the park affordable for families and guests of all ages, according to CNN. The $5 billion project to create the American Dream mall has been in the works since 2003. With opening weekend tickets being sold out, the complex is preparing for a flood of guests to fill the 33,000 available parking spaces. In November, the mall will also open a 40 water slide and 15 attraction DreamWorks water park.
