Almost two years after LeBron James signed the biggest endorsement deal in Nike history, the company gave Odell Beckham Jr. the largest shoe deal in NFL history.
According to Bleacher Report, the wide receiver’s agent worked out a five-year contract with the company after it matched Adidas’ offer to Beckham, and snagged him with a deal believed to be worth over $29 million.
In addition, sources say incentives could increase the deal to $48 million over eight years.
Beckham did not require a signature cleat in his agreement with Nike. Sources say he wanted to be a “brand icon” for the company. Therefore, it’s safe to assume, OBJ’s pregame footwear will be bigger and better this season.
