The Migaloo M5 is a luxury super submarine designed in Austria, offering a blend of super yacht luxury and submarine stealth.
It promises unprecedented security and secluded exploration with four-week underwater voyages.
As per Air Mail, the Migaloo M5 is an impressive 541 feet long submersible, accommodating 20 passengers and 40 crew members, capable of diving to 250 and meters.
It offers various entertainment options like jet skiing, kite surfing, paddle boarding, exploring with mini-submarines, and even helicopter rides.
Enhancing its appeal, the Migaloo M5 includes two pools, a jacuzzi, and a cafe. Culinary delights await in the 36-seat dining room with glass walls offering stunning sea views. For an additional cost, optional extras include a wine cellar or cinema.
The Migaloo M5’s construction is expected to cost about AUD $3 billion, not including the extra optional choices.
According to reports, CEO Christian Gumpold has struggled to sell the Migaloo M5 due to safety concerns, especially following the Titan submersible tragedy in June last year.
Acknowledging this challenge, Gumpold stated that the company is aiming for “visionary billionaires with or without existing superyacht experience who have extraordinary demands for exclusivity, safety, adventure.”
He further added that Migaloo is “in negotiations with a number of interested parties from all over the world who are motivated to own the world’s first superyacht-submarine hybrid.”
“As it is a completely new development, such a project will require corresponding monetary resources, take a lot of time for design, construction and building and demand many decisions,” said Gumpold.
“However, the owner also receives the corresponding prestige and unimagined new possibilities when calling this product his own. Our target group must be aware of this and have the corresponding innovative mindset.”
According to Gumpold, Migaloo is confident in the security of the Migaloo M5, citing a double-hull design and multiple rescue systems, including mini-submarines, for maximum protection.
