Baller Alert, Baller Alert, Baller Alert! Welcome to another episode of The Baller Alert Show. The cast discussed Tyrese, Deion Sanders, and IDK‘s new album in this episode.
“U.S. jumper Tara Woodhall has been stripped of her title because of a positive cannabis test. I just think weed should not be a test that you test positive for and get stripped of a title,” said Ferrari.
The cast agreed that weed shouldn’t be a test for athletes moving forward.
Tyrese is being forced to pay over half a million dollars in child support and legal fees.
“I’m going missing,” said BT.
“Just so you know, it’s over $2000, so you can’t leave the country,” said Ferrari.
“Deion Sanders will lose over 20 Colorado players to the transfer portal. I think these are the guys who aren’t going to be getting any playing time,” said Ferrari.
IDK
Where is IDK from?
IDK: “I’m from the DMV, PG County, Maryland. I was born in England. I came here when I was two years old.”
How long have you been doing music?
IDK: “Since 2012, when I got out of prison, I started doing music seriously.”
What made you say, “You know what, I’m done with that (Jail/Prison)?”
IDK: that was my fourth time going. That was the state prison I came from. I only got in trouble once, but I had violations. They just kept putting me back in. The way the system is set up, it’s hard for me to stay out.”
“I was a tutor in prison and a barber.”
How were you able to adjust so well when you got out?
IDK: I wasn’t in that long. When I got out, everyone kept telling me to get Instagram. I remember on my first post, I got 40 likes, and people were like, ‘Damn, you got 40 likes.”
How did you get your first million?
IDK: Before I get to that point, I probably spent $500,00 of my own money. I started doing independent, and one album deals with independent labels. A lot of big artists look up to what I do and respect what I do. I had a song with Billie Eilish. It never came out, but I still have those relationships.
What was the song that put you into these people’s ears?
IDK: I don’t have one until this day. It’s just random songs and from touring. I’ve done like 400 shows.
Where are your fans usually finding you?
IDK: Spotify, Soundcloud, Apple Music. It’s hard to say because I have a really unique story.
How did you realize that you were gaining fans and things began to change?
IDK: The big turning point was I randomly got a call from Kanye, and he was like I heard about your album, and the album wasn’t out yet. He said he wanted to hear it, and at some point today, can I connect with you? I went to his house, and we were eating lemon cake.
How did you get your name?
IDK: I got it in prison. I wanted to come up with something that would make people ask questions.
Let us know about this project.
F65 is the album. The F is for F1 racing, and 65 is the year Malcolm X was assassinated. Before he got assassinated, he was switching from Nation of Islam to Orthodox Muslim, and he was about to change the conversation he was gonna start having, which was more inviting and inclusive and really bring change, but he got assassinated before he could.
Baller Mail
“Dear Baller Alert,
My wife side of the family is full of criminals. I met them at her family function and these folks are not the type to hang around. How do I tell her that I do not like to be around them?”
“Me, I’m a straight shooter. I’m gonna say how I feel. I would be like look man, you got some cousins who I don’t know who I can fully trust. I would like to spend a little less time around them as possible,” said IDK.
