All-Black Polo Team
Miguel grew up riding horses in DC and wanted to give other kids the same opportunity. Through his foundation, Miguel helps put together polo teams for the inner-city youth. He is also the co-founder of Morehouse’s polo team, the first and only Black college polo team.
Suits & Ties
Miguel owns menswear boutiques in Atlanta, Miami, DC, and New York. He designs for various people, from everyday guys to celebrities like Lil Baby and 2 Chainz. Miguel shared that his niche is wedding attire for men, noting that he noticed many people weren’t in the space when he initially started his business.
Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic
Miguel started the Atlanta Fashion & Polo Classic weekend, which includes a day party, fashion shows, and polo matches. He started the events to “expose people of color to something they normally don’t get to see.” It’s a celebration of culture, and this year’s event is from Oct. 8 – 10.
Celebrity Clients
Miguel shared that he had “a very special” experience with 2 Chainz when designing his suit for his wedding. The rapper even gave a shout-out to the designer in a song!
