A brand new episode of the Baller Alert Show podcast is here! Episode 158 features Atlanta rapper BRS Kash, and he’s giving up the tea on Omerrettá’s controversial song, his name change, and more.
Upcoming rapper Omerreta released a song called Sorry Not Sorry last week, and some Georgia natives are not happy about it. She named all of Atlanta’s surrounding cities in the song, saying people claim to be from the city, but they’re not.
Can People Who Are Not From ATL Rep ATL
Kash kicked off the conversation, saying he didn’t take offense to the song because he’s from Atlanta. However, he’s “ok” with those claiming they live there if they’re from the surrounding areas. “I mean, Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, so you should be able to rep Atlanta.”
Other Atlanta natives like co-host Su Solo agree that Omeretta didn’t say anything wrong. “All sis said is rep where you from and rep it proud. That’s all.”
Now Omerretta did reveal that she’ll be releasing a remix to the “controversial” song, and co-hosts think T.I. would make sense since he’s from Atlanta.
Ukraine And Russia At War
Ukraine and Russia are currently at war, and reports say the Ukrainian airport was bombed while thousands of people were trying to flee the country. Su Solo said she spoke to someone recently who said, “If we’re not doing any business with Ukraine, then the USA needs to mind their business.” Huh? That’s not how the government works.
Either way, The Baller Alert show hosts and special guest, Kash, hope Ukraine can get the help it needs.
Kodack Black Logic
The Florida rapper welcomed his daughter, Queen Yuri Kapri, in January. However, before her birth, he expressed he’d be faithful to the mother of his child if the baby is a boy, but if it’s a girl, he’ll “just be the baby daddy.” What type of logic is that?
He also suggested that men should sleep with their female artists so they “don’t have distractions anywhere else.” BRS Kash jumped in to give his opinion on the matter. “I mean his investment, so that’s his logic,” Kash said. “But a lot of the girls come in the industry like that. If that’s not how she wanted it to go, she shouldn’t have presented herself like that.”
Su Solo mentioned if the roles were switched, would a man be “ok with being tried like that,” and Kash said no. “It’s something seriously wrong with that.”
Kanye West Chasing Kim Kardashian
As of Wednesday, Kim Kardashian is legally single, but Ye has been fighting for their relationship privately and publicly. Some people believe Kim wants to remove her ties with her estranged husband altogether, but Kash thinks otherwise. “She just want Kanye to chase her,” he said. “She want him to put a little effort in. She don’t want to go nowhere.”
BRS Kash’s Inspiration For Song “Spend It.”
The song is doing great in Atlanta clubs and recently picked up streams on the radio. Kash talks about the inspiration behind the music. “Spend it came from the club. Like I was in the strip club, I saw a bad girl with nice teeth and a nice smile,” he said. “I sing about what I see, and there were pretty girls everywhere.”
If “Spend It” had a remix, Kash said he’d have Juicy J on the track.
Why BRS Kash Had A Name Change
Initially, he went by ‘Kash Kash’ but changed it to BRS Kash, which stands for Bank Role Society. “I wanted my name to represent my label,” he said. “Also, a D.J. had the name ‘Kash Kash’ copyrighted already. So it would’ve been confusing with streams to have that name.”
On Maintaining Mental Health
“I practice laws of attraction. So I meditate. I like to put positive things into the universe, or I got a sauna and the spa just to relax.”
Baller Mail
Dear Baller Alert Show, my boyfriend and I have been broken up since 2021 due to him cheating on me. He’s been incarcerated for 8+ years and was my high school crush before he went to jail. We were together for two years, but when I found out he cheated a second time, I didn’t want anything to do with him, so I decided to fake my death. I had my cousin pretend she had gotten ahold of my phone after my death and had her pretend like I wasn’t alive anymore. Well, it got deeper than I expected because not only did my ex tell his mom, he also told his grandma, and now they all believe I really passed away. I don’t know what to do to do at this point. Please help.
BRS Kash, Rari, and Su share their advice. Hear what they had to say and the rest of the episode below.
