The Baller Alert Show – Episode 27 Recap

The Baller Alert Show, featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 27th episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.

In case you missed it, the hosts discussed Beyoncé’s incredible performance at Coachella, where she highlighted HBCU and African American culture at one of the Whitest music festivals. As racial tensions continue to plague the country, the Queen used her platform to bring awareness, highlight the culture and support our people. In fact, she was also the first black woman to headline the concert and she killed it. As if we expected anything less. Congratulations and Thank you, Queen!

As the segment continued, the hosts discussed the injustice involving Meek Mill’s case, where he was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for probation violation. However, it was recently announced that the arresting officer was listed as one of the most corrupt cops in Philly, which prompted the legal team to pursue a new trial. However, the controversial judge on the case shut it down. So, he will have to stay in jail until his next hearing in June. What are your thoughts?

Then, the hosts discussed the Philly Starbucks incident, where two black men were arrested for sitting and waiting for their friends inside the store. The incident sparked widespread backlash and protests, but the owner has now moved to educate his employers on racial bias in an effort to remedy the situation. But, is that enough?

Next, Simmons discussed this week’s Baller Mail, where a woman asked if she should work things out with her ex, who abandoned their son when he started making more money than him. In fact, he even began to steal from her, what would you do?

In Comment Creepin segment, Solo talked Tammy Rivera’s statement on Black Love, her husband’s mistakes and fighting for love. Would you care to hear relationship advice from a couple who went through public issues, or do all relationships have rocky times?

Finally, Kenfucious dropped a few jewels.
