The Baller Alert Show, featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 53rd episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
The hosts discussed everything from Jacquees’ outrageous claim to be the King of R&B of this generation. When it comes to Kings of R&B, both the hosts and the rest of the Internet said R.Kelly, outside of his personal issues, and named the likes of Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Miguel, Jeremih, The Weeknd and August Alsina, as potential contenders. But, who do you think is the king?
Then, the hosts spoke on the Oscars controversy, in which Kevin Hart, who was originally scheduled to host the show, was forced to apologize or give up the gig. But, instead of apologizing, Hart decided to bow out gracefully. Though he later apologized, the entire incident sparked a widespread controversy, with more homophobic tweets from other comedians surfacing in response. But now, the question remains, who will host the Oscars? Will they be perfect? Or will social media dig up their past, as well?
From there, the hosts discussed Cyntoia Brown’s sentencing, in which a judge demanded she serve 51 years before she will be eligible for releasee. In her case, Brown was tried as an adult after she killed the man, who forced her into prostitution at an early age. But now, after news of the 51 years, a Tennessee judge is looking into granting Brown, who is now 30, clemency.
In the next segment, Rari shared this week’s Baller Mail, which focused on happiness. “Are you really happy or are you just faking it for the gram?” Well, are you?
Then in Su’s absence, both Rari and Burns shared two separate comments by Fetty Wap’s baby mothers, Alexis sky and Masika Kalysha.
In the end, Kenfucious shared a few words of wisdom, saying, “Everyone does not deserve your love.”
