To kick off the episode, the three addressed criticisms and concerns about the NFL deal, in the wake of push back from Colin Kaepernick’s close friends and girlfriend. In a series of tweets, Nessa scoffed at the fact that discussions for the deal reportedly began in January, while Panthers’ Eric Reid encouraged fans to pay attention to the timing of the rapper’s partnership with the league, which, in turn, drew lines in the sand between the opposing parties.
While many agreed with Nessa and Reid, others, including Kenny Burns, felt inclined to give Hov the benefit of doubt, due to his history in social justice reform. Which side are you on?
