“Prayers up for the Denver police. They are investigating multiple shootings that sent 11 people to the hospital after thousands flock downtown to celebrate the Denver Nuggets beating Miami Heat,” said Ferrari.
“I wanted it for Jimmy,” said Toosii.
“Nobody cared about Denver winning,” said BT. “It’s so boring.”
“It felt like two teams who don’t deserve to be there,” said Toosii.
Toosii
“I like regular girls. I don’t do the strippers and all of that. Not in the industry, who got a job. Who works a 9 – 5,” said Toosii. “Some things, not all women can handle.”
Where is Toosii originally from?
“I’m from Syracuse, New York. Upstate New York. The trenches,” said Toosii.
What’s it like growing up there?
“I can probably take y’all through all of Syracuse in like 15 minutes,” said Toosii. “It’s like a ghost town. Everything boarded up. It’s not safe.”
What was it like growing up for you, and how early did you start music?
“It was cool just to be able to make it out. It’s a testimony and a great story. I’m happy,” said Toosii.
“I live in North Carolina now. We moved there when I was 13. My mom moved me there for a better life,” said Toosii.
Where did the name Toosii come from?
“Toosii came from my sister calling me Tootha Buck. My teammates used to make fun of me. I kinda just took the name and ran with it,” said Toosii.
When did you start taking music seriously?
“Shout out to my sister’s ex-boyfriend. He took me to the studio for the first time in 2016. I was writing music since I was 13, but I never had the means to get studio time. 2017 I dropped out of school. The bad thing is I was in 12th grade. I was almost done,” said Toosii.
Now that you got your deal, how did your life change?
“My life still changing. Since signing three years ago, I’m just getting to a point where I feel like I should’ve been,” said Toosii.
I saw that you posted with your advance you bought your mom a house.
“We ain’t never had nothing. Her next house…sooner or later, I’m going to be the biggest artist in the game,” said Toosii.
What do you say to people questioning your sexuality online?
“Honestly, it doesn’t bother me. I like everybody. I love the LGBTQ community. Calling somebody gay is not an insult. It’s people’s sexuality,” said Toosii.
