The Braxton Sisters Responds To Tamar Braxton’s Twitter Comment About The Upcoming Season

After WeTV aired a preview of the upcoming season of Braxton’s Family Values, Tamar Braxton took to Twitter to voice her frustrations with the network continuing to use her for profit.

When a Twitter user reiterated Tamar’s ongoing dispute with the network, she replied “That’s my fckn issue”.

“Remember @wetv said we have parted ways in August. I am no longer employed by them and they are STILL using me and my hurt to make a coin. What show talks about old cast members?” Tamar continued.

During a recent group interview with media personality Claudia Jordan, Trina Braxton, Towanda Braxton, and Traci Braxton all discussed how they felt about their sister’s comment and the events that led up to it.

When asked about how they felt when they found out that Tamar had attempted to end her own life, the sister’s shared their disappointment with finding out the news through social media.

“I was very disappointed in finding out via social media because our family is closer than that,” Trina says. “For someone else to tell me the story of something that happened to my own family is very disheartening and as a family member, I would not have allowed that 9-11 call to happen the way that it did.”

Jordan then asked the sisters about their feeling towards Tamar’s Twitter comment to which Trina insists that the new season will only show how Tamar’s suicide attempt affected them as a family, and nothing more.

“During season 7 of Braxton Family Values, we do not talk about Tamar’s physical or mental health,” Trina tells Jordan. “We talk about how it affected us, but we do not physically address Tamar’s hurt, pain, or experience.”

“Tamar has her own story to tell and it’s very important for Tamar to tell her story in her way whenever she decided to tell it. All we want is for our sister to have peace, and health, and well-being,” she continued.

Towanda added, “Medically speaking, it’s important for the victim to understand how it impacted your family and your friends and your loved ones. It’s important for them to see that so maybe they can get themselves together a little quicker.”

The second oldest Braxton sister goes on to say that although it’s “unfair,” fans should expect to only see their feelings and experiences during that difficult time for the family.

Regarding Tamar’s comment about her sister’s reaction to her August suicide attempt being staged for the show, Trina says it’s biased to “attack us as a family”.

“It’s unfair because we did not speak in any way, shape, or form about Tamar and her situation,” she said. “We did not make that 9-1-1 call. We did not say anything to the media in regards to Tamar’s situation. We did not openly say anything about what’s happening with Tamar’s situation, except for that fact that we love her, we’re here for her, and we’re in her corner. And yet, we are the ones who are being ostracized.”

  1. How about they just let Tamar be! Towanda chiming in that Tamar needs to think about the repercussions to her family and loved ones, was unnecessary. When did she go to medical school? Yes Tamar can be loud at times but that’s part of why we love her. Everyone is always worried about Traceys feelings over a record deal that happened a million years ago and didn’t notice that Tamar was hurting! Like stop whining Tracey. Enough already. Move on!
