The Breakfast Club Talks To Raheem Devaughn About “A Place Called Love Land” & The Peppermint Soap Groupie Tale

Back in 2011 we received a Groupie Tale about R&B/Soul singer Raheem Devaughn that was so hot that it literally went VIRAL! Every time someone sees him they ask him about the time he took a young girl home, bathed her with peppermint soap then gave her the greatest D of her life. You can read that Groupie Tale HERE.

Recently Raheem Devaughn visited Power 105’s THE BREAKFAST CLUB Morning Show to promote his new album “A Place Called Love Land” and of course our girl Angela Yee had to ask him about the infamous peppermint soap story. Watch the entire interview below and of course, thanks to our doll Angela for always holding down BA!

Raheem Devaughn describes his new album “A Place Called Love Land” as a “retro/futuristic 90’s feel” and I can honestly say that I agree. As the 4th studio album from the R&B crooner, the first as an independent artist, the album definitely delivers a true R&B sound. None of that Euro Pop that so many R&B singers have abandoned their genre for. By choosing the single “Ridiculous” as the album’s first single Raheem certainly sets the tone as to what one would expect from his new project. If I could sum it up I would say that the album is pure R&B, a little soul, a little sex, a little love. If I had to choose one of my favorite songs it would be “Cry Baby.”  In the song Raheem says, “Can you handle it when I’m all the way in? It’ll probably make you cry baby.” To that I say, Go Heemy Go!
