The Evolution of The Side Chick

Marilyn Monroe, Monica Lewinsky, Jaimee Grubs, Rielle Hunter, & the list goes on. Since the beginning of time men have always had a hard time being strictly monogamous. It’s not only in the bible (adultery), it’s just plain common courtesy, yet adultery seems to be flourishing faster than technology these days. There used to be a time where cheaters made it a point to keep their affairs under tight wraps, fast forward to 2014 and these heauxs are talking & they are winning.

Rather than holding their heads down in shame, these 21st century heauxs are taking a stand and being heard. Lol. They want to be known & have no qualms with letting the world know that they are content with being #2. Some may ask (fellow heauxs may ask) what’s wrong with wanting to be heard and seen? EVERYTHING honey, everything about that is wrong. Now as a woman, I would rather be known for my success, my talents, and vibrant personality; anything greater than being a man’s second option. The term home wrecker has become more of an accolade than a derogatory title. I blame the media. They publicize cheating scandals like world wars and with the #1 show on ABC “Scandal” showing that it’s Ok being a mistress, no wonder it has become a trend. It gives every side chick the same dream that Olivia Pope goes to sleep with every night. The dream that he will leave his wife or significant other and you all will live happily ever after right? No, wrong. Not to burst any delusional bubbles, but it is very unlikely that a man will leave his spouse for the mistress. In most cases the man still loves his spouse and just doesn’t know another way of dealing with or fixing the issues the couple is having therefore they seek comfort elsewhere and into the picture arrives the side chick. Now maybe when you’re dealing with the Governor of South Carolina and you’re a buxom Brazilian you win as the side chick, but in most cases you end up back where you started, or pregnant with a come up baby(that’s a later post) and a decent monthly stipend to live off of.

I’m not sure why this side chick movement is so popular, but when dealing with another woman’s man, husband especially be ready to go toe to toe because no woman is just going to let you take her man. Better yet, find your own. There’s plenty to go around. xoxo
